I started keeping all my recipes on pinterest. They are organized by MY categories and I can have thousands! They take up 0 space in my efficiency apartment. Thanks to you Sara, I no longer keep any extraneous paper.I get bank info online. I open my mail downstairs at the trash can. No unnecessary envelope, ad, newspaper or catalog makes it past the elevator door. I have two accordion folders and am able to keep my space as though every day is “state inspection day” for HUD.
I subscribe online to Nat Geo, and AARP, and the New York Times. My quilt magazines are gone through and culled for patterns I want, then given away at our monthly guild meetings.
My day begins with a well made bed. I shower and clean my tub while in it. The bathroom is cleaned right after I take care of my cat.
Dishes are done after use. A dirty sink disables me. I need all of my counter space. Pots and pans are stored in the hall closet. I clean the stove immediately after it cools.
I admit my fridge is the bane of my existence. It’s still over full. And the trash can is a pain too. I did find that putting 3M hooks on the sides to hold the trash bags in position made a world of difference!
I still have clutter, but living the 12 -12 -12 rule helps a lot. 12 items thrown out, 12 put away, 12 given away daily until I live a Spartan life!
